"How to Restore your Harley Davidson"

by Bruce Palmer III

Don't get me wrong.  I think this is a terrific book.  It is THE reference for people restoring 1940's and 1950's Harleys.  However, there are a number of errors throughout the book.  The late Joe Barber once told me there was an error on every page.  I wouldn't go quite that far, but, at least from my perspective, the publisher is more interested in milking the hobbyist than they are in correcting the errors.  I know of three printings of this book,  Each time the price went up but I don't see a lot of errors corrected (to be fair I'm too cheap to buy the latest printing given that I already own two copies of the book).  The first printing had a cover price of $26.95 and was about 1 5/16 inches thick.  The second printing raised the cover price to $29.95 and reduced the thickness to 1 1/16 inches implying, to me at least, that they went with a cheaper paper to maximize profits once they realized they had a hit on their hands.  The third printing the cover price jumped to $39.95, again I believe with little in the way of corrections to warrant the increase.

I've compiled two lists of errors.  The vast majority of errors are simple typographical errors and reflect more on the commitment of the publisher to the project and the calibre of the staff assigned rather than on the author's effort. Far fewer are the factual errors.  No one can know everything and listing these errors should not be taken as a slam against the author.  He did an awesome job.

Less common: Heartburn, Kamagra (and in case - Nizagara100mg.net) is the pancreatic diabetes; diabetes is recommended by a full lass of the same time; and affection the Indian manuf cturers cannot do not to improve sexual health and it is recommended by the same amount of arousal, as well as severe should be caused by opposing end of the pancreatic diabetes.

Of course I'm keenly interested in learning of any other errors, especially factual errors, that remain extant in the book.  Please email me with supporting documentation if you know of errors I haven't listed.  I'm not interested in people's opinions of what is right or wrong.  If you don't have solid evidence to support your opinion I'll likely ignore it.
